V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Tableau Consultant for our premier client in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a 3-month contract with possible extension in the public-sector industry.  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

 Technical Requirements and Certifications »

• Familiarity with Factset, MSCI Risk Manager, Eagle Pace (including the Data Mart within Pace) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Familiarity with SQL

Education and Experience » 

• 5 years of experience gathering requirement from executives to build dashboards
• 3 years of experience designing and building dashboards within Tableau, utilizing investment data, including building drill downs, hierarchies and story points
• Experience interacting with Eagle Pace and an understanding on how the performance engine within Pace works is a plus 
• Financial experience with companies that trade, invest and manage funds

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the business processes, systems and data flow associated with institutional investment management
• Ability to create test and deployment plans to work through the implementation of reports and dashboards built within Tableau
• Ability to communicate issues, status, and progress on assigned tasks to direct management and to a project manager
• Ability to interact with and present to executive level, senior staff

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Job Responsibilities » 

• Execute the full life cycle to gather requirements, design, build and deploy the executive level dashboards and reports
• Educate staff on how to use Tableau to deliver business value and training power users on the best way to visualize investment data within the Tableau platform
