V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a .NET Developer for our premier client in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a 4-month contract-to-hire position for a global provider of innovative products and services.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »

• Experience working with Oracle databases, Angular and data-driven web applications in a corporate environment under common SDLC practices
• Experience in Object-Oriented Design patterns and Test Driven Design practices
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
• Experience in design and development of large scale n-tier applications
• Experience developing ASP.NET, C# and VB .NET applications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Proficiency in all aspects of the software development lifecycle with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
• Understanding agile development SDLC with iterative release schedules
• Microsoft development skills: C#, VB.NET, WinForms, Web Services, WCF, ASP.NET, HTML, SQL Server 08, SSRS, SSIS and Object-Oriented development

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

• Perform analysis, design of technical specifications, coding, testing and support of new and existing custom applications
• Develop new modules and business processing within our client’s custom SmartClient/WinForm applications and facilitate direction to web centric application platform
• Create applications utilizing C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET with Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010, SQL Server 2008, SSIS and SSRS
• Maintain an expertise in industry standards and patterns using Microsoft development products
• May assist in the day-to-day leadership for one or more functions within an IT department
