V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Front-End Java Developer for our premier client in Denver, Colorado. This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

 Technical Requirements and Certifications »

• Beginner level knowledge of Java programming, database systems, and systems analysis and design.
• Candidate should have 2-3 years’ experience with the following skills at the forefront:  Angular 1.0 and 4.0+, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Java, & Spring.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Good written and oral communication skills, analysis and problem solving skills
• Solid foundation in object-oriented development.
• Good proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
• Good understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.

Education and Experience » 

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience- Bachelor of Science in a technology related field highly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » 

• Demonstrates strong analytical ability and aptitude to derive and translate designs from business concepts
• Ability to understand and quickly learn business concepts, functions and processes
• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency and proven creative problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organizational and Oral and written communication skills

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Job Responsibilities » 

• Supporting and enhancing two (2) primary web sites. 
• Participates in discussions and makes recommendations on architecture and overall direction of company technology platforms
• Enhance and maintain existing applications that support business activities
• Adheres to change management process to ensure integrity of the production environment
• Utilize source code management tools to manage source code following internal process
• Implement technology best practices as defined by the internal development and architecture teams
• Follow and promote all technology use policies either with technology teams or the end user
