V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an IT Service Desk Manager for our premier client in Houston, TX. This is a contract-to-hire position in the energy industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Technical Requirements »

  • ServiceNow ITSM and/or ITOM
  • Windows Desktop OS - laptop, desktop, tablet, telephony and peripheral equipment
  • Workplace strategy and transformation
  • Workplace solutions
  • Desktop support management
  • Service delivery management

 

Education and Experience »

  • Consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience managing a staff of 15+

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

  • Provide desktop managed service in locations within North America
  • Accept service request and incident from the first or second level support via ServiceNow for specified locations
  • Fulfill assigned service request and incidents from ServiceNow for local desktops, laptops and printers/plotters in scope
  • Troubleshoot, install, configure and support monitors in single and multiple set ups
  • Troubleshoot and support desk side network issues and connectivity
  • Escalate service requests and incident resolution as necessary, involving other 3rd party level 3 support when required
  • Provide laptop, desktop, tablet, telephony and other peripheral deployment
  • Perform office moves - computers, printers, monitors, telephony, etc., and reconnect at new location; validate all hardware and network connections are in working order
  • Install standard peripheral devices and applications, and escalate requests for non-standard peripherals and applications
