V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Business Analyst for our premier client in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a 6-month contract position in the electric services industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »

• At least 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst supporting an Agile/Scrum application development team
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP
• Experience with Continuous Delivery Support

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Familiarity with JIRA, Rally, Planning, Scenarios and Support Test Driven Development
• Understanding of Agile and Manifesto
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

• Work with Business/Product Owner to identify general scope and requirements
• Work with identified business SME to understand their current process from each user's perspective to provide the most efficient and user friendly mobile solution
• Draft unique use cases based on requirements discussions to help drive building a backlog, etc. once project is kicked off
• Provide a general understanding and overview of the flow of the front end mobile solution
• Help project team to identify risks and possible impediments
• Maintain relationship and ongoing communication with Business/Product Owner to continually understand evolving needs, risks, etc.
• Lead backlog grooming/user story writing sessions with Product Owner and Dev Team
• Lead sprint planning with Product Owner and Dev Team to define and commit work for sprint
• Work with the business to mutually agree on reasonable scope of work for each sprint/release
• Create and maintain user story hierarchy with associated features, etc.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint demos, sprint retros etc.
• Define/ensure user story standards are met
• Define/ensure test case standards are met
• Support UAT effort by making sure business needs are met as agreed every time shippable software is released
• Serve as SME regarding business processes from a technical perspective
