V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Engineer I for our premier client in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a 12+ month contract position in the electric services industry.

U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Our client is unable to sponsor at this time or work on a C2C basis.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Technical Requirements and/or Certifications »

• Cisco CCNA is required
• Cisco CCIE is preferred

Education and Experience »

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent computer-related degree from an accredited college or university (consideration may be given to candidates with extensive related experience without the academic requirements)
• 7+ years of experience with Cisco routers, switches and related equipment, LANs, WANs, firewalls, internetworking, data communications, or IP-based wireless networks implementation and support

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

• Design, configure and implement new Nokia MPLS WAN network
• Design, configure and implement new Cisco LAN and WAN infrastructure including Cisco 3750 Catalyst switches
• Implement Cisco Wireless LAN infrastructure
• Manage, lead and participate in project implementation of TCP/IP LAN and WAN networks
• Provide support for Cisco and Nokia TCP/IP network environment
• Assist in the development, compliance and continuous improvement of all aspects of networking infrastructure necessary to ensure the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operations of our client’s IT network resources
• Implement critical LAN infrastructure within our client’s substation environment
• Implement enhanced wi-fi coverage in existing company locations
