V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Oracle Developer for our premier client in Durham, North Carolina. This is a 6+ month contract position in the financial services industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is highly desired
• Minimum of 10+ years of database development experience is required, predominantly in Oracle
• Knowledge/courses done in finance, business, math or accounting considered a plus
• Experience in database development, primarily in Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with Unidata and Global One is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Excellent coding and performance tuning skills adhering to established database development standards
• Sound communication skills with the ability to comprehend business requirements, translate them into technical design specs, and apply the same in the development process
• Strong skills in writing complex queries
• Highly motivated and a responsive team player
• Ability to multi-task, be a technical lead, and work under minimal supervision
• Ability to diagnose data issues and performance matrix
• Ability to write PL/SQL functions and packages
