V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Oracle Software Engineer for our premier client in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a 6-month contract position in the financial services industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent technical field
• 5+ years of industry experience developing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions
• Experience with build and release tools like Jenkins and uDeploy
• Prior experience working with MS Access-based applications is a plus
• Prior experience working with Tableau

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Knowledge of Informatica for ETL and data warehouse concepts
• Familiarity with modern software design principles including modularity, eventing, etc.
• Strong data and systems analysis skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Partner closely with the analysts/business partners to understand the business problem
• Design, develop and support quality solutions that align with the technology blueprint and best practices to solve business problems
• Actively participate in activities like innovation days, code and design reviews, exploring emerging technologies, etc.
