V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Senior Application Support Engineer for our premier client in Durham, North Carolina. This is a 6-month contract position in the financial services industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Technical Requirements and/or Certifications »

• Recent experience developing C++ application
• Knowledge of release engineering is a plus

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

• Provide level 3 application support
• Participant in an on-call rotation
• Troubleshoot issues and conduct root cause analysis
• Collaborate with managers, systems analysts, developers, architects, QA associates and members from other teams (including those offshore) as necessary to bring issues to closure
• Support the development staff within the team that is focused on discretionary projects with their day to day issues related to builds/deploys and source code branch cut requests
• Identify and implement potential improvements/tools to enhance supportability
