V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Software Engineer Test (Brokerage) for our premier client in Westlake, Texas. This is a 6-month contract position in the financial services industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »

• Programming experience with any of the following technologies: Java/J2EE, UNIX/Linux Shell, Perl, HTML, JavaScript, Spring and Web Services
• Test automation experience using JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI and Rest Assured
• Test automation experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Jasmine, karma and protractor is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and are familiarity with Agile Ceremonies
• Strong technical background troubleshooting problems and identifying root cause
• Highly productive in an Agile project delivery environment
• A collaborative team player who can work independently across local and distributed teams
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid organization where priorities shift to respond to changing business needs

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design, develop, maintain and troubleshoot automated suites of tests to assess product quality and release readiness
• Work with the team to derive release testing requirements throughout the development cycle
• Reproduce, debug and isolate problems and verify fixes
