V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Supply Quality Engineer for our premier client in Plymouth, Michigan. This is a contract position in the automotive manufacturing industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »

• Engineering degree or similar education
• 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry
• 3+ years of experience working with suppliers
• Experience working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Experience with Profess Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Stamping knowledge
• Skills in problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to be self-directed

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

• Responsible for Supplier Quality Engineering for tool move activity
• Travel to suppliers regionally to support stamping die runoffs and gaging of parts, assuring PPAP is submitted properly to company plants and acting as filter between supplier and plant
• Perform inspections and set quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products
