V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking a Project Manager for our premier client in Oakbrook, Illinois. This is a full-time, direct hire position in the technology industry.  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

 Technical Requirements and Certifications »

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Various courses and certifications from key software and hardware providers, such as:
  • Microsoft, HP, Cisco Systems, Citrix, VMware, Veritas, Veeam
  • Technical writing, scheduling and budgeting

Education and Experience » 

• Bachelor’s degree in the fields of business, computer science, or engineering
• Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector
• Understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development methodologies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » 

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work with a distributed team and communicate effectively
• Proven management skills
• Knowledge of technical skill sets or team members required to successfully complete a project – in depth understanding of information technology systems
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and process/procedure documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Job Responsibilities » 

• Responsible for pre-sales proposal with clients and sales team
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Project scheduling - develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.  Coordinate internal resources and third parties/sub-contractors for the flawless execution of projects
• Manage project team – provide leadership and direction to the onsite/remote project engineering staff.  Conduct regularly scheduled project meetings with client and internal staff to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize a variety of risks
• Managing projects within the corporate project management system (ConnectWise)
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
